Johnson & Wales University

While working in Experiential Graphic Design, I create wayfinding systems from concept design to real world application. Each project begins with learning the client’s needs through meetings and on-site visits. I present a handful of concepts which the client narrows down to one, which I fine tune and turn into technical drawings for a sign fabricator. From there a three dimensional structure is built and installed, helping people find their way around cities, universities, and beyond. These wayfinding systems for Johnson & Wales University’s Downtown Providence Campus and Harborside Campus were particularly satisfying in this regard due to the many three dimensional elements baked into the design of the signs.
